How do I find out what my coin is worth?
Find the date and the mint mark (a small letter such as D, S or P), then search for that combination here. Each coin page shows how many were made, what it is made of, its metal value and whether it is a key date. For an exact market price, compare recent sold auction results for coins in the same grade.
Which US coins are worth more than face value?
Any dime, quarter or half dollar dated 1964 or earlier (90% silver), Kennedy halves from 1965 to 1970 (40% silver), 1942 to 1945 war nickels, low-mintage key dates and error coins. See our key dates list and silver coin guide.
Are pennies still being made?
